The "Final Push" before the GT!!! I think they REALLY believe it!
by DATA-DOG ini don't know if i have shared this with everyone, but there seems to be a new theocratic term, at least in my circuit.. the term is "final push.
" wtf does it mean?
well, an eldub said that the gb are "all in" with warwick and they might spend all their money on the project.
-
Billy the Ex-Bethelite
Technically, I think it's JWs that are expected to make the final push, while the GB is making the final pull.

By “evolution,” we mean “macroevolution”—apes turning into humans, for example.
by FadingTruth inaugust 2015 awake .
quote in title taken from article footnote.. anyone have information on who gene hwang and yan-der hsuuw in the article are?.
why do they repeatedly state that apes turned to humans when that's not what evolutionists teach at all?.

we share 96% of our genome with Apes
The genome of men is more similar to the genome of apes than to the genome of women.
I use that to excuse my sense of humor and behavior on many occasions.

This "final push", will it last another 40 years or 120 years? -

"We can't even talk with you anymore! You react very abruptly"
by stuckinarut2 inso that was the line used by an elder the other day to me!.
he implied that i react badly when spoken to by the elders.. i corrected him and said: "no, i'm always happy to have a conversation.
but what you seem to be implying is that unless i sit and accept and take everything you say, then i am being defensive?

"We can't even talk with you anymore! You react very abruptly"
Okay, were they talking to you at the time or did they write this in a letter. Because if they were talking to you when they said they can't talk to you, that just makes no sense.
I assume that what they mean to say is, "We can't lecture you anymore because you've become too intelligent to listen silently like a brain-dead JW zombie."

It's My Turn
by OneFingerSalute inwell i finally got the, "we would like to stop by with the circus oversneer and have an encouraging visit.
would ---------day be good, at say -----------?".
it'll probably be a pretty dull visit with the entire conversation being only one way.

Well I finally got the, "We would like to stop by with the Circus Oversneer and have an encouraging visit. Would ---------day be good, at say -----------?"
Answer: "Well, if he really needs an encouraging visit, I might try to come up with some time for him to try to cheer him up. I realize how very depressing it must be for him to be a CO. He's probably afraid that he'll get forced off the road in a few years with no money, no particular job skills, and failing health. I remember how depressed and helpless I felt when I left bethel. I suppose I could share my experiences about getting my degree and a great career, I'm much happier now than I've ever been before in my life. So I think I might be able to encourage the poor guy."

That part of the creation myth always struck me as odd.
- How was it that god made plenty of male and female animals of every species, but when it came to humans he just made the one man?
- And was Adam originally made without genitalia and he added it later when Steve/Eve came along, or did god give him the junk originally and tell him not to masturbate no matter how good it felt?
- And when god finally figured out that he forgot to make a woman, why did he need to take a rib from the man?
- Had he previously made the females of every species out of a rib from the males of every species but failed to mention that in the Big Book of Jewish Fables?
- Or did he have to do this surgery/clone procedure because he forgot how to make a human from scratch?
- It he couldn't make eve from scratch, what does that say about his ability to resurrect humans that have been dead for millennia if he has to build new humans from spare parts from other humans and can't just whip them up from some dust and water?

why did god if he is so loving create viruses like Ebola and the Plague?
And who brought them and all the other diseases aboard Noah's ark? Did Noah collect two of all the millions of animal species and two specimens of every disease?

WT started using the internet in 1997, brother said
by StarTrekAngel inso brohter (not elder or anything but many years active) had to give talk this week.
talk related to how jehovah gives abilities to people thru the spirit.
started off with the mention of how god told moises to build the tent and gave people the abilities to work wood, stone, etc.
-

Started off with the mention of how God told Moises to build the tent and gave people the abilities to work wood, stone, etc.
Meanwhile, the Egyptians were building temples and pyramids while Moses left no visible traces of any 40 years of camping and building a fancy tent. Oh, and his Bronze Age god was helpless to stop chariots with iron wheels.
Similarly, the WT website today is less technically advanced and receives much less traffic than most non-Bronze Age god related websites.

Deut. 22:28,29, the Mosaic Law instructs that a raped virgin was to be sold for the price of a slave to her rapist and they could never divorce.
- Is that a good law that you think would somehow benefit your non-engaged female relatives - teenage sister, daughter, niece, or granddaughter? (When speaking to a woman) Would this have been a good law to help you find a husband?
- In these raper/rapist marriages, was Jehovah a third strand in that marriage cord that bound that poor child to the man that violently raped her and whose face she will have to see every day until one or the other of them dies?
- (When speaking to a woman) Is that how your husband came to marry you? (When speaking to a man) Is that how you met and married your wife?
- Since this marriage was an arrangement by the divine law, does this mean that rape is a divinely approved foundation for a sacred marriage?
- Is that scriptural law still in effect in congregations today? If so, please explain. If not, please explain why not.
- Is that policy related to the fact that Watchtower has had to pay millions of dollars in settlements to so many innocent victims of child molestation?
- Is that a good law that you think would somehow benefit your non-engaged female relatives - teenage sister, daughter, niece, or granddaughter? (When speaking to a woman) Would this have been a good law to help you find a husband?
